Special class for disabled children (blind or deaf)
Recently, NYChesskids has started a new program for students with diabilities. We believe that chess can help those students, because chess helps to stimulate their mind. Playing chess and learning chess could make them very happy. Although it will be very hard for them to learn chess, we believe that it is possible. NYChesskids is currently sponsoring students with disabilities and with special needs. They are welcome to join this chess class.
In our Blind program we will be teaching chess on special boards that are specifically designed for the needs of blind students. Good chess players around the world play blindfolded so we believe it should be possible that blind students can learn chess because they have both a developed mind and senses.
During the lesson there will be a snack break.
The maximum number of students for this course is 16.
