PS77 03.14.2010Lower Lab School Tournament - Mar. 14th, 2010
143 players participated in the end of the winter tournament at the Lower Lab School (PS 77) setting up a new attendance record for the site! the tournament was again a tremendous success thanks to the parents of PS 77. (The video of this tournament coming soon. See the video of last tournament)

PS116 02.21.2010P.S.116 Tournament - February 21, 2010
Sometimes when a tournament is over, when the final scores have been tallied, and when ratings changes have been reported an overall impression of the events of the day comes slowly into focus. This tournament had a definite such feel'.
In retrospect it seems a lot of NYChessKids alums returned to match play during this event, and at the same time there were many new faces, new to NYChessKids tournaments and when 'playing up' (which a lot of kids did today) new to more challenging, difficult sections.

PS163 11.22.2008P.S.163 Tournament - Nov. 22nd, 2008
107 players participated in the first tournament of the 2008-2009 school year at PS 163 which located in Upper West Side. 41 new players were introduced to the game in the No Score section and Novice 1 sections. We like to thank the school administration and all the parents from PS 163 for helping us make this event possible.
